NUCLEODUR® PFP is a pentafluorophenyl-propyl modified silica phase for HPLC.

  • High purity spherical silica gel
  • Hydrophobic, polar RP phase with additional aromatic and steric selectivity
  • Separation mechanism based on 4 retention mechanisms (polar interactions, dipole-dipole interactions, π-π interactions, hydrophobic interactions)

The separation mechanism features an alternative selectivity in comparison to classical C18 phases. Thus NUCLEODUR® PFP is well applicable for polar compounds like pharmaceuticals and phenols, halogenated compounds, aromatic and unsaturated compounds, isomers, and basic compounds - also for LC-MS detection.

EC guard columns are used for analytical EC columns with the Column Protection System guard column holder (554-5851).
